DJ Starks

DJ STARKS "The Problem" was born & raised in the East New York section of Brooklyn, NY.  At a young age, music made a huge impression on his upbringing, so while attending I.S. 364, as a 7th Grader, his parents took notice of his desire for music and purchased his first set of Numark Direct-Drive Turntables.  From that day, Starks has put his best foot forward in chasing his dream and perfecting his craft in being an elite DJ.  As the years went on and he grew with age, the more experienced he became.

DJ Starks, started playing in venues such as Empire Roller Skating Ring, The Elks, Club Attractions and other notable spots within Brooklyn.  He then took the grind to another level with becoming known citywide as an up and coming hot DJ.  With his name buzzin’ due to his persistence, he was given the opportunity to start DJ’ing parties out of state at big name colleges, and clubs around and out of the US in places such as Atlanta, GA, Washington D.C, Miami, FL, Toronto, Canada and Indianapolis, IN.  While going state to state shutting down hot spots around the country, he has played alongside some of the most elite DJ’s & hip-hop artists in the industry such as FunkMaster Flex, Mister Cee, DJ Envy, DJ Absolute, Massive B, Steelie Bashment, Maino, Sheek Louch, Styles P. Jadakiss, Red Café, Cassidy, Foxy Brown, Nicki Minaj, Lil’ Kim.  Reggae artists include Sky Juice, Richie Feelings, Lexxus, Charlie Blacks, Tony Matterhorn, Spice & Adonia. 

As his journey continues, DJ Starks’ future looks brighter than ever and he isn’t letting up.  There’s still a world of non-believers out there and he’s here to show the world why he is, in fact, “A Problem” on the 1s & 2s.
